Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic security systems, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms, burglar alarms, access control systems, and CCTV systems.
- Conduct system programming and configuration as per the project specifications.
- Perform site assessments and prepare installation plans to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarm systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and repairs undertaken, as well as inventory of parts and equipment used.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and regulations related to alarm systems and security.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an alarm systems technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of alarm systems installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- NICET certification in fire alarm systems or related field is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools related to alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and regular training sessions.
