Nations Roof is seeking an experienced and professional Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist to join our team.

This position will be 100% in office with a Monday-Friday schedule at the Fresno, CA location.  

Nations Roof, one of the largest commercial roofing contractors, ranked in the Top 5 Roofing Contractors in the US. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.

Purpose:  Take direction and process the day-to-day invoicing and collections for all customers with the highest level of efficiency.

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Manager and other staff.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
  • Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Make bank deposits as required.
  • Post deposits to the accounting system.
  • Collection of past due invoices through phone calls and emails.
  • Inbound and outbound calls and/or emails daily.
  • Answer the phones.
  • An ability to produce a high-volume output while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Receives, organizes, and maintains all construction documents.
  • Other general administrative duties as assigned

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • BA/BS degree, preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel Word Outlook Power Point)
  • Basic Accounting experience (Experience with Viewpoint, SAGE, Timberline, SAP, or similar construction platform preferred, not required)
  • Prior manufacturing or similar construction accounting experience is preferred for position.
  • Ability to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situation
  • Must be team orientated and be willing to perform based on the company’s Core Values
