GRADING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

We are seeking an experienced Grading Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently while performing rough and finish grading on commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read grade stakes and site plans, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including motor graders, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, rollers, skid steers, and other grading equipment.
• Perform rough and finish grading to meet project specifications.
• Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Excavate, backfill, level, and prepare construction sites.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of grading equipment operating experience (preferred).
• Experience with GPS machine control is a plus.
• Ability to read grade stakes and construction plans.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
